BLACKSKY | BLACKGUARD OVERVIEW​

The Blackguard:
The Blackguards are the elite warriors of the clan. They are not formed by recruitment, rank, or appointment. They are revealed through performance. The Blackguards represent the highest standard of competitive excellence within Blacksky. Drawn from the Colosseum, they are composed of those who have consistently proven themselves through discipline, teamwork, and victory against their peers. Where others compete for dominance within Blacksky, the Blackguards are sent to test that dominance against the world.

Blackguard Origins:
The Blackguards exist as an extension of the Colosseum’s purpose. The Colosseum answers who is strongest within Blacksky. The Blackguards answer whether that strength holds beyond it. When a team or individual consistently distinguishes themselves in the arena, they may be called upon to join the Blackguard roster for their respective game. This selection is based on performance alone—free from politics, tenure, or internal rank. To be Blackguard is not to abandon one’s Chapter or Legion. It is to carry their banner forward.

Blackguard Limit:
Each game supported by Blacksky maintains a single Blackguard team. This team represents the pinnacle of competitive capability for that title. No parallel Blackguard teams exist within the same game. There is only one standard bearer.

This ensures:

• Clear identity
• Unified representation
• Undisputed legitimacy

The Blackguard team stands as Blacksky’s official presence when competing against outside clans, teams, and communities.

Selection & Tenure:
Blackguard status is earned, not permanent.
Membership may change based on:

• Performance
• Discipline
• Availability
• Alignment with Blacksky standards

The Blackguards are expected to maintain excellence not only in combat but in conduct. They are visible representatives of Blacksky and are held to a higher standard than internal competitors. Removal from the Blackguards is not punishment; it is correction.

Role & Expectation:
Blackguards are expected to:

• Compete externally with professionalism and restraint
• Uphold the reputation and standards of Blacksky
• Represent strength without arrogance
• Win with discipline, and lose with honor

They do not speak for Blacksky in governance.
They speak for Blacksky in action.

What the Blackguards are/are not:
The Blackguards are:

• Performance-selected
• Mission-focused
• Representational
• Elite by merit

The Blackguards are not:

• A rank above others
• A permanent status
• A political position
• Separate from Blacksky’s structure

Final Truth:
The Colosseum forges strength. The Blackguards test it. Only those who have already conquered Blacksky’s arena are trusted to carry its name beyond the walls.
