Forge Division Overview

I. Purpose of The Forge​

The Forge exists to shape how Blacksky is seen, recorded, and remembered.
It is responsible for:

• Visual identity
• Written communication
• Public-facing narrative
• Internal documentation support

The Forge does not exist for self-expression. It exists to serve Blacksky’s identity, authority, and continuity. If it does not strengthen Blacksky’s presence or record, it does not get created.

II. Scope of Authority
The Forge:

• Produces approved visual assets (graphics, banners, branding)
• Produces written content (articles, announcements, features)
• Supports Imperium Command, Operations Command, Colosseum, Blackguards, and Legions when requested

The Forge does not:

• Redefine doctrine
• Publish lore or canon independently
• Override leadership direction
• Act without request or approval

Creation follows authority. Not the other way around.

III. The Forge Leadership

A. Master of the Forge​

• Appointed by Custodians (Founder override applies)
  • Creative standards
  • Project approval
  • Asset release
  • Pillar membership decisions

The Master of the Forge ensures all output aligns with:

• Blacksky tone
• Canon doctrine
• Operational needs

No asset is considered official without the Master's approval.

B. Forge Leads (Optional)

• Appointed by the Master of the Forge
  • Design work
  • Written content
  • Project coordination

Leads organize execution. They do not define direction.

C. Forge Members
Forge members fall into two primary functions:

1. Designers​

• Create visual assets
• Follow established visual doctrine
• Work within requested parameters

2. Journalists​

• Write articles and reports
• Maintain clarity, accuracy, and tone
• Cite sources when applicable

All Forge members are contributors, not decision-makers.

IV. Forge Standards
All Forge output must meet the following standards:

• Accurate
• Disciplined
• Intentional
• Aligned with Blacksky identity

Forge work that is:

• Self-indulgent
• Tone-breaking
• Politically motivated
• Ego-driven
• Canon-breaking

…is rejected. Quality is mandatory. Consistency is non-negotiable.

V. Request & Approval Process
Forge work begins only when:

• A request is submitted by leadership or
• The Master of the Forge authorizes a proactive project

Each request must define:

• Purpose
• Scope
• Intended audience
• Deadline (if applicable)

Nothing is published without final approval.

VI. Conduct & Accountability
Forge members are expected to:

• Accept critique without ego
• Revise without resistance
• Work within deadlines
• Represent Blacksky professionally

Failure reflects first on the creator, then on the Division. Repeated issues result in removal from the Division.

VII. Division Membership & Removal

Entry Requirements​

• Demonstrated skill (design or writing)
• Ability to accept critique
• Willingness to work within structure
• Approval by Master of the Forge

Removal Conditions​

• Missed obligations
• Poor conduct
• Repeated rejection of feedback
• Unauthorized publication
• Tone or doctrine violations

Removal is corrective, not personal.

VIII. Relationship to Canon & Lore
The Forge:

• Supports canon
• Records approved history
• Translates doctrine into an accessible form

It does not create canon.

Canon flows from:

• The Blacksky Directory
• Sealed Lore
• Legion Records
• Approved Operational Doctrine

Forge work reflects authority. It never defines it.

IX. Final Doctrine Statement
Blacksky does not shout. It stands. The Forge ensures that when Blacksky is seen, read, or remembered, it is seen correctly. Nothing flashy. Nothing weak. Nothing false.

Only what endures.
