“We do not create Blacksky. We ensure Blacksky is represented as it should be.”
The Master of the Forge serves as the head of the Forge Division and holds responsibility for the oversight, direction, and quality of Blacksky's creative, documentation, archival, and public-facing work produced under the Division.
The office exists to ensure that Blacksky is represented consistently across its visual identity, written communications, historical records, published materials, and other projects entrusted to the Forge. While Forge members perform the creative and technical work of the Division, the Master of the Forge establishes priorities, coordinates projects, provides direction, and ensures that completed work remains aligned with established doctrine, organizational standards, and the institutional identity of Blacksky.
The Master of the Forge is responsible not only for reviewing individual projects, but for maintaining continuity across the Division's work as a whole. They must ensure that new material does not unnecessarily conflict with established records, that Blacksky's presentation remains recognizable across different platforms and projects, and that creative development serves the organization rather than becoming disconnected from it.
Creativity remains essential to the Forge, but creativity within Blacksky must serve purpose, structure, and continuity. The Master of the Forge therefore balances creative freedom with institutional consistency, allowing the Division to develop new ideas while preserving the identity upon which existing work was built.
The office is not responsible for personal expression. It is responsible for ensuring that Blacksky is represented as it should be.

MAGISTER | Open to Appointment Only
“We do not attend the gathering. We ensure the gathering happens.”
The Magister serves as the head of the Warhost Division and holds responsibility for the planning, coordination, and oversight of Blacksky's organized events and activities.
The office exists to ensure that organized participation across Blacksky is conducted with purpose, structure, consistency, and sufficient coordination. While members of the Warhost Division may organize and host individual activities, the Magister establishes Division priorities, coordinates major events, maintains scheduling standards, and ensures that Warhost operations contribute to the continued activity and cohesion of Blacksky.
The Magister is responsible for maintaining an event structure capable of serving Blacksky across Chapters, Legions, Pillars, and the wider organization. This requires coordination with leadership throughout Blacksky, awareness of competing schedules and organizational priorities, and the ability to develop activities appropriate to different levels of participation.
Events under the Warhost are not treated as isolated occasions. They serve as opportunities to strengthen relationships between members, encourage participation beyond individual Chapters, reinforce organizational unity, and maintain momentum throughout Blacksky. The Magister must therefore balance participation and enjoyment with the planning, communication, and operational discipline necessary to make organized events sustainable.
The office is not responsible for entertainment alone. It is responsible for ensuring that Blacksky remains active, connected, and engaged through structured participation and consistent event leadership.
Reports to: Executor
Core Expectations:
✦ Lead and maintain the operations, priorities, and development of the Warhost Division
✦ Oversee the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of organized Blacksky events
✦ Establish and maintain consistent standards for Warhost activities and event organization
✦ Coordinate major events involving multiple Chapters, Legions, Pillars, or other areas of Blacksky
✦ Provide direction and support to Warhost members organizing and hosting activities
✦ Maintain awareness of Blacksky-wide schedules, priorities, and participation needs when planning events
✦ Encourage participation and interaction beyond individual Chapter boundaries
✦ Ensure Warhost activities contribute positively to Blacksky's activity, cohesion, and organizational momentum
✦ Evaluate event effectiveness and improve Warhost operations when participation, coordination, or execution requires adjustment
✦ Maintain communication with the Executor regarding Division priorities, major events, and operational needs
HIGH ADJUDICATOR | Open to Appointment Only
“I do not enforce order through authority. I preserve it through discipline.”
The High Adjudicator serves as the head of the Order Division and holds responsibility for the oversight, coordination, and standards governing Blacksky's moderation and administrative enforcement operations.
The office exists to ensure that Blacksky's official platforms and shared organizational spaces remain stable, orderly, and governed consistently with established doctrine and policy. While Adjudicators carry out routine moderation and enforcement responsibilities, the High Adjudicator establishes operational standards, provides guidance in complex situations, reviews significant enforcement matters when necessary, and ensures that actions taken under the authority of the Order remain consistent, measured, and properly documented.
The High Adjudicator is responsible for maintaining a disciplined enforcement structure without allowing the Order to exceed its institutional purpose. The Division does not replace the authority of Marshals, Legion command, Pillar leadership, or High Command within their respective areas of responsibility. Instead, the Order operates within the authority entrusted to it, coordinates with appropriate leadership when matters cross command boundaries, and supports the consistent application of Blacksky policy across the spaces under its jurisdiction.
Conflict, misconduct, and disruption are addressed not for punishment alone, but to preserve organizational stability, protect Blacksky's shared spaces, and ensure that established standards retain meaning. The High Adjudicator must therefore exercise restraint alongside authority, distinguishing between matters requiring moderation, matters belonging to another command structure, and matters requiring escalation to senior leadership.
The office is not responsible for exercising authority for its own sake. It is responsible for ensuring that the authority entrusted to the Order is applied correctly, consistently, proportionately, and in accordance with Blacksky policy.
Reports to: Executor
Core Expectations:
✦ Lead and maintain the operations, standards, and development of the Order Division
✦ Establish and maintain consistent moderation and enforcement procedures across spaces entrusted to the Order
✦ Guide and oversee Adjudicators in the execution of their responsibilities
✦ Review complex or significant enforcement matters requiring Division-level judgment
✦ Ensure moderation and enforcement actions remain consistent, proportionate, documented, and aligned with Blacksky policy
✦ Preserve the jurisdictional boundaries of the Order and respect the authority of other Blacksky command structures
✦ Coordinate with appropriate leadership when disciplinary or enforcement matters cross Division or Pillar boundaries
✦ Identify recurring behavioral, moderation, or policy issues requiring broader organizational attention
✦ Maintain stability and order across Blacksky's official platforms and shared organizational spaces
✦ Exercise restraint, impartiality, consistency, and sound judgment in matters involving enforcement authority
✦ Escalate matters beyond the authority of the Order through the appropriate chain of command
✦ Maintain communication with the Executor regarding Division operations, significant enforcement concerns, and policy needs
EXECUTOR | Head of Operations Command
“I do not command the Legions. I ensure Blacksky endures behind them.”
The Executor serves as the head of Operations Command and holds responsibility for the stability, coordination, effectiveness, and long-term development of the Operations Pillar as a whole.
Operating above the individual Divisions, the Executor provides oversight through the Division leaders beneath them. They establish Pillar-wide priorities, evaluate operational leadership, coordinate matters involving multiple Divisions, identify structural or operational weaknesses, and ensure that each Division remains capable of fulfilling its intended purpose within Blacksky.
The Executor is not responsible for performing the routine work of every Division or unnecessarily replacing the authority of its appointed leadership. Division leaders retain responsibility for directing their respective areas, while the Executor ensures that those Divisions remain organized, accountable, properly supported, and aligned with Blacksky-wide standards and institutional direction.
Because Operations Command supports functions that extend throughout Blacksky, the Executor must also maintain effective coordination with leadership beyond their own Pillar. Operations may support, interact with, or provide services affecting other areas of Blacksky without acquiring command authority over those structures. The Executor is responsible for ensuring that such cooperation remains effective while respecting the jurisdiction and established authority of each Pillar.
At this level, operational leadership is measured not by the success of a single Division, project, event, or enforcement action, but by the ability of multiple specialized Divisions to function together as a stable and sustainable Pillar. The Executor must ensure that Operations Command can adapt to the changing needs of Blacksky without losing organizational discipline, clarity of purpose, or structural cohesion.
The role exists to maintain the systems, coordination, and operational foundation that allow the wider organization to function effectively. Quiet stability is its purpose.
Reports directly to: Custodians
Authority Scope:
✦ The Executor serves as the highest command authority within the Operations Pillar of Blacksky
✦ Their authority extends across all Divisions, offices, and subordinate positions contained within Operations Command
✦ The Executor exercises routine oversight primarily through the leaders of each Division and is expected to preserve their established authority
✦ The Executor may intervene directly within subordinate Operations structures when leadership failure, operational instability, policy concerns, or Blacksky-wide interests require Pillar-level action
✦ The Executor does not exercise direct command authority over the other Pillars or institutional structures of Blacksky
✦ Leadership positions within those structures operate through their own established chains of command and report to High Command as defined by Blacksky governance
✦ Operations Command may coordinate with, support, and provide functions affecting other Pillars without acquiring command authority over them
✦ Cooperation between Pillars is expected; however, command authority remains within each Pillar’s established chain of command unless otherwise directed by High Command
Core Expectations:
✦ Oversee the stability, effectiveness, and long-term health of Operations Command
✦ Guide, mentor, and evaluate the leaders of subordinate Divisions
✦ Preserve Division leadership authority while maintaining effective Pillar-wide oversight
✦ Establish Operations-wide priorities, standards, procedures, and organizational direction
✦ Maintain coordination and cohesion between specialized Divisions with different responsibilities
✦ Identify operational weaknesses, structural deficiencies, and capability gaps requiring correction or development
✦ Ensure each Division remains properly organized, supported, accountable, and capable of fulfilling its intended purpose
✦ Coordinate Operations Command involvement in matters affecting multiple Divisions or other areas of Blacksky
✦ Maintain productive relationships with leadership across other Pillars while respecting established jurisdictional boundaries
✦ Develop Division leadership and maintain sufficient leadership depth for continuity and succession
✦ Lead major operational reforms, initiatives, and responses requiring Pillar-level coordination
✦ Maintain communication with Custodians regarding operational health, major initiatives, structural concerns, and Blacksky-wide support needs
