Romulus — Clarified Collapse Addendum

Foundational History Addendum

Purpose of This Addendum
This addendum exists to clarify the circumstances surrounding the rise and fall of Romulus, the first attempted Legion structure of Blacksky. It does not amend the sealed historical record, nor does it alter Romulus’s final status. Its purpose is precision, not revision.

Blacksky records its failures accurately—not to diminish what followed, but to ensure the path forward remains honest.

Founder Identity Clarification
Romulus was founded by BSK EXiLE, operating at the time under the name BKS Rip due to platform restrictions that temporarily prevented use of the BSK tag.

This name change was technical in nature and carries no distinction of authority, identity, or origin. There is no separate founder associated with Romulus. The founder remains singular.

Nature of Romulus
Romulus was the first attempt at a Legion-level structure within Blacksky.

It was created during an early period of expansion, before the Clan had fully developed the institutional discipline, enforcement mechanisms, and cultural maturity required to sustain such a structure.

Romulus was not flawed in concept. It was premature in execution.

The Traitor Revolt
The collapse of Romulus did not originate at the Legion command level.

Following the growth of Bloodlust X, several descendant Chapters emerged. Over time, all such Chapters—except Forbidden Kingdom X—devolved into open revolt, rejecting authority, discipline, and command alignment. These Chapters were formally designated Traitor Chapters.

The coordinated breakdown of discipline among these subordinate units destabilized Romulus beyond recovery. With its internal authority undermined and its command structure compromised, Romulus could no longer function as a unified Legion.

Dissolution of Romulus
Romulus was dissolved as a direct consequence of this collapse in internal discipline. It was not abandoned. It was not erased. It was not defeated by an external force.

Romulus fell because Blacksky was not yet ready to sustain a Legion—and Blacksky recorded that truth. No Rite of Reopening or Restoration applies to Romulus. Its role is complete.

Legacy and Continuity
Though Romulus fell, Bloodlust X did not.

Bloodlust X endured beyond the dissolution of Romulus, operating as a Legionless Chapter during a transitional period in Blacksky’s history. Its continued survival preserved continuity until the formal designation of Valhalla as Legio I, the first enduring Legion of Blacksky.

Romulus stands as precedent. Bloodlust X stands as endurance. Valhalla stands as proof.
